Hmmm, now if I get rid of the tv I think I could fit one like it in that corner

You got a good deal for it - back in January I got a juwel vision 450 With 2 extra external filters it now houses all my big fish - they love it and so do I

one water change later and all the external 404 compartment filled with floss and its clearing slowly - very slowly

I'm going to stick to my guns in future and spend the time cleaning the sand before it goes in the tank

in the mean time, i have now fitted the external and started the heater up too,

over the weekend we'll be transfering our 4ft tanks inhabitants into it - if we can see them once they are in there is a different matter

I had the day off today and have been busy

Added...
another 15kg of sand (cleaned it this time )
Bogwood (£50 of bogwood to be precise!)
Some plants from our other tanks (while we were picking up fish for the office tank)
And a bottle of filter aid to help clear the water

this is what the tank now looks like...

Fish will be going in tomorrow

OK - Stock as of 30 mins ago...

1 common plec - 10"
1 Goldie plec - 3"
4 clown loaches
9 phanton tetras
1 Buenos Aris tetra.
2 cherry barbs
3 leopard danios
1 female guppy
8 amano shrimp

I cant believe how empty it looks - in the 4ft could could always see fish - especially Mr Catfish (the common plec) but they have just gone - he's even dissapeared!

We emptied the 4ft from my parents - and a few other from the other tank - there is now just one tank left round there.

I'll get a piccy later - got to tidy the kitchen up first )

nice corner.. and nice tank too, i actually have one exactly the same, same filter too.

i installed my filter after finding that although the internal one did a good job it was just a nightmare to get at to clean. also found that removing the internal and adding the external while the tank was up and running was also a nightmare.

they really are nice looking tanks and mine a real focal point in my lounge

I'm not looking forward to cleaning the internal... not at all

We added a few more fish today...

we now have 7 clowns.

here are a few more piccys (excuse the colour balance - the camera wasn't setup up to cope with the tannis from the bogwood )

Mr Catsish it the right hand corner is about 10"

and the 'best' piccy i got of the new loaches and their friend doing the loachy dance (at the back of the tank )
