Tankmates

I have a 46 gallon tank, right now it has no fish it it (thanks to the little white worms that have invaded it) well this week i plan on cleaning it out top to bottom(and kill the invaders). After that I was thinking of chooseing one of my male bettas and put him in there along with a number of other fish. What sorts of cool fish would go with a male betta?

that depends on your male betta's temperament!
if he's going in that tank you need to make sure the current is weak, lots of tall plants, hiding places etc.

theres more you cant put with him than you can. what kind of betta is he? veiltail? crowntail? plakat?

a nice group of 6-7 corys would be good though, put some sand in, they'd love it. and when they're young they swim all over the tank and don't just stick to the bottom.

OR you could scrap the male idea altogether and have a huge female sorority, with like 14-15 girls, and 5 corys or so. tons of hiding places would need to be provided.

I have three veiltails and a crowntail. I haven't chosen which to put in the tank yet.

I like what catxx said about the female sorority!! I say you put in a $#!t loud of nice leafy plants and a few of those ones that kind of look like grass in the rear half of the tamk (smallest at the front, biggest at the back) and in the front half have some bridges, funky ornaments or even lego (which is totally awsome ). or for a more natural look make huts and stuff out of rocks and silicone holding it together. Then you could stack them or something and have like an apartment complex


or not but whatever...i got SOO carried away there
