Well fillet has replyed, and told me which info i would need for him to be able to calculate it (very nice of him ), and it looks like the floors comeing up...

I really hope this would be possable, but i really hope that a tank wouldnt go thought the floor...
I personally think that it may be ok, but im not expert...

I know, i REALLY hope it is. Ive given all the measurements but Fillets out ATM so ill have to wait until tomorrow. Hes a star for doing all this...Really is...
I just hope that im in luck...
I mean the tank is pretty wide and long so hopefully that will spread the weight out enough...I think that it would be supported by atleast 3 joists...Maybe more...

They are being based on a 48x32x18 i think, but i surrpose i best check though really.....

Sorry to mini hijack but in a 4ft by 2ft by 2ft, how big (diamater) would a motoro have to be in order to have 'grown out' of the tank.

A ray will need a bigger tank once it reaches around a foot in diameter.

Unfortunately, the tank would be unsafe to have on my top floor...
I really had my heart set on keeping rays, but i cant think of anything i could do...
Is there any way of strengthening the floor, without spending hundreds?

Well ive tryed, and asked some structureal enginerring companies and theyve said £55 and hour, and thats quite abit, especially when fillet o fish told me for free. He said itd be unsafe, unfortunately...
I could ask a builder, to see if theres a way of strenghtening the floor, but i dont know

£55 per hour thats cool it should only take one hour 2 at the max i would say £110 is a small price to pay to get the tank you want
