Fish Addict
Thanks for your reply Bricko..
I would use RO water but it gets too expensive for me, I remember when i was fishless cycling my 4footer, i put 50% RO water in for a cost of approx £15, then when it was cycled i learnt that i had to do a massive waterchange, and out went all the RO water, i reckon if i can drink out of a tap, my fish can do the same (as long as i maintain it)
however, i've been using my testing kit quite often these last few days and have found that my tap water has some nitrates in it, so in future might add RO water here and there
Many ppl seem to use the warm water method without any consequence, here in the UK we are experiencing a 'heat wave' and am sure room temperature would be sufficient, but most of the time its cold...when i do my bucket water-change missions, i end up dumping the whole bucket in one go, which some fish seem to enjoy but others dont...
I look at this 400 and think couldv got bigger, but then we'd have to rearrange the downstairs for that, lol
