~ I learn something new ~ ~~~~ every day ~~~~
My one tank was up to 31 celsius the other day
it's actually reached that a quite a nubmer of times this summer and the fish in the tank seem absolutely fine. They haven't been gasping or swimming at top levels at all. But then again I'm very understocked in the tank and over filtrated so that might help.
Those high temperatures can be fatal but I've probably been lucky so far.
Then again, thinking about fishkeeping when I grew up in South Africa - we never had air conditioning and our daily summer temperatures were around 35 degrees - which must have meant my tanks were up there as well. But can't say I experienced a notable or signaficant loss rate at all.
