Tank Temperatures High?

My one tank was up to 31 celsius the other day  it's actually reached that a quite a nubmer of times this summer and the fish in the tank seem absolutely fine. They haven't been gasping or swimming at top levels at all. But then again I'm very understocked in the tank and over filtrated so that might help.
Those high temperatures can be fatal but I've probably been lucky so far.

Then again, thinking about fishkeeping when I grew up in South Africa - we never had air conditioning and our daily summer temperatures were around 35 degrees - which must have meant my tanks were up there as well. But can't say I experienced a notable or signaficant loss rate at all.

We have had the same problem with our tank. It was at 32C a few days back so just took a few jugs of water out and put the same amount back in (treating it with Aquasafe first of course) and it dropped nicely to 27C. Although they say the average temp to have your tank at is 24C-26C I dont think a few degrees higher will hurt them. It will soon be winter and then we'll all be complaining how much our heaters are on!

I actually had a tetratech pf15 with heater included, I treid one heater then two neither worked to make the tank above 75 degress so I bought a $10.00 clip on heater and it works greattttt.

What did you replace it with? does it fit in the same place as the Juwel, I do like the way it's hidden away in the "box".
