Hey everyone.

I've owned betta fish for a few years now and am looking at setting up a new tank. I'm wanting to go for a large tank but I suddenly wondered, is there such a thing as too big?

I was looking at 120-150 litres (about 32 - 40 gallons) but I'm wondering if he may get a little lost in there haha? I will probably add some bottom dwellers and will densely plant it but wasn't sure if perhaps that might be a bit too big. I'm also thinking the filtration required for a tank that size could create a fairly strong current.

Does anyone have any thoughts or done something similar?

Thanks heaps in advance!

Bettas do get lost in big tanks and tend to hide in a corner. You are better off keeping them in a tank about 2 foot long x 12 inches wide. It gives them plenty of room but isn't too big for them.
