What would be the smallest tank size for 4 females
in liters please

I would perrsonally go for a 60 litre myself but opinions differ on the subject. I'm no expert

You'll want more than 4 females in my opinion, I'd go for no less than 6, a 40L or near enough 10 Gallon would be fine for 4-6 females.

Yes they recommened at the least 5 females.

i'd say around 60l, preferably long rather than tall, with a minimum of 5 females
