Tank Size for gold dust mollies

I'm not sure why the answer to this question keeps getting missed because three or four of us have stated it, but that's OK. The 20g is "OK" for the fish now in it while they are still small, but it is not suitable for the present fish as they grow. And hopefully they will, if healthy. Mollies at 3-4 inches in this tank is a lot of impact on the biology, even ignoring the physical space.
What impact on biology!? Their lifespan you mean!? The 20 gallon tank can limit their lifespan!? And till how long can they be in the 20 gallon?!

I’m not sure what you also mean by, “The 20g is "OK" for the fish now in it while they are still small, but it is not suitable for the present fish as they grow. And hopefully they will, if healthy.” Do you mean the 20g is ok for now, for the fish present in the tank right now and the fish who will come in the future in the tank? ”And what do you mean by, hopefully they will grow, if healthy.” Like what do you mean by healthy?, what should be vital to that? I have good water parameters and feed A varied diet.

So, I see what you’re saying. Also I’m not sure what you mean by ”Just a heads up that the adults can get very large, given the change.” Can the adult mollies get large for my 20 gallon tank? Is that what you‘re trying to say?

.... I feel as though you're trolling....

YES. Mollies can reach 4-5 inches in length. As we've said and shown since the beginning of this thread. But you don't seem to be reading that and taking in what that means.

How, am I trolling? Why would I be constantly typing and just “troll” on purpose. I‘m literally asking

Trolling by asking the same questions, when we've already answered you.

And why would I explain the same thing yet another time? You're asking questions we've already answered, thoroughly, and in some depth!

Fish CAN get 4-5 inches. 20g is too small for fish that size. 20g might work for a trio for a while, but as the adults get larger, would need larger tank, and yes, it could affect their lifespan and stunt their growth if they're kept in a tank that's too small long term, and even sooner if that tank is crowded and overstocked because of all the baby fish the female mollies and platies would be producing.

Can't make it much clearer.

Alright then. Im considering to get a 30 gallon tank, can i have more mollies? And is that 30 gallon tank better for mollies? If so, how many mollies in 30 g along with how many platies in the 30 g?

Hi everyone, I have a 20 gallon tank, and I was wondering if I could have 5 gold dust mollies and 5 platies in 20 gallon? This is my tank fir reference, rn I have 1 male molly and 2 female platiesx
yeah, sounds fine to me if you keep up on water changes.

A 30g tank presumably has dimensions of 30 inch/75cm length by 12 inch/30 cm width. Given that the mollies are 3-4 inches length at adult size, on their own I would not have more than three.
