Tank Placement

Im a newbie as well so i only have one tank a little 54L :D the thing is as i spend so much time at my boyfriends the tank is there and he already has a 216L tank :D

Oh and he lives in a studio flat :D

Where is the plug for the sink?

And you couldn't keep them in there surely, it looks airtight and there are far too many goldfish in there, and no filter.

All form and no function appeals to fish havers, not keepers.

Hi, I am somewhat new here. I do have 2 fishies under my name.

I liked the tank that, I forgot who, put in their kitchen window. I can fit a small one in my window. Wonder how they did that? I have one in the library and plan on getting another tank. I have a 55 gallon, the larger ones that I wish to get costs so much. I did find lots of 55 gallons on Ebay, I thought I would just get another tank, 55 gallon and then a smaller one for the kitchen window. If I can figure how to put it in the window and keep the sun from hitting the tank too much.
Any ideas on the window idea??

If you mean this one:

Then it is mine..........however it was one I purchased off ebay.

The sun does hit the tank at one end, and it does get a little algaeal jsut where it hits (if that is a word........ ). However there is a conservatory with roof blinds behind the kitchen, so the sun doesn't get directly on it.

It (and some other wall/dividing tanks) is/are not that practical in that the depth is quite limiting.

It is only 6.5 inches deep (front to back) so you are limited in the size of fish you have. The surface area of the water is limited. With glass reinforcing strips around the top, the gap is only about 3 inches. Fine for feeding......but you are limited in decoration and my arms only go in up halfway up my forearm, so I have to enlist the services of my wife to do a lot of the cleaning and decor moving.

I do like an unusual tank though........ :D
