Yep, looking good. It will look AMAZING once those live plants go in there. Definitely better then my first tank(s) you would probably still do a better job then me (that's why I do bare bottom tanks)

The original setup really does nothing in my opinion, however the current one is very good. you should be very proud to be able to do that.

I like both tanks to tell the truth. Keep in mind what makes our world is the diversity of opinions. AND you should never have to be defensive of what you like. Man, you should see my eldest grandson - everytime I see him I just shake my head - but, it is his opinion, he is a great and sweet man and I love him. Know what I mean? OH , keep in mind as you go thru life there are two types of criticism, constructive and the negitive. Listen to the constructive and ignore the negitive. MY grandkids call me Granny Karen.
