Tank Mates?

Id say no. Angelfish are considered Cichlids also, I think. Which means it'll tear apart the betta in no time.

Yeah, my cousin bought a tiny cichlid that was about 3/4 of his full grown betta and put it with his betta. His bro told him it was okay and I was there cause I was in bed from surgery. Lets just say his favorite betta wasn't a betta anymore. lol. Sad, but true

I know that one would think angels are fiesty and so are Bettas but it's the finnage really. It must be like attractive to pull which I expect hurts then the fight starts.

They would look nice together but I guess the answer I would give is a def no as Betta's need shallow tanks and Angels definately need taller tanks.

i put a male betta with angels and it was a definate no go, they all went mad. but hasnt a female got alot less finnage? my angels are in with 12 different sorts of tetra with no problems. i would think they would be ok.

I have both Angels and female fighters in my community tank and they are ok, but then i have a large tank with lots of plants. Its hard to say but from the other replies it might not pay to risk it
