Hi all,I have a 12.5g tank split into 3 with 2 dividers and have a betta in each section. They each have about 4.15g each and was wondering if there is any type of fish/shrimp that would be good.Shrimps are exspensive were i live. They only do cherry shrimps but there £4.99 each!

On http://www.aquaessentials.co.uk/ ( a very popular aquatics website as i'm sure you know ) the cherry shrimps are being sold for £15.00 for five... If you have an algae issue then ,excluding srimps, certain snail species make a good Betta aquarium inhabitant. Nerite snails have brilliant shell patterns and are, ofcourse, brilliant at eating algae. For the slightly cooler aquarium, White Cloud Mountain Minnows would make a nice addition. The smaller danios and rasboras would also probably complement your Bettas...

Avois barbs as they usually get too large for the small aquarium... and they can be FIN NIPPERS!

Glowlight Danio's and Danio Choprai would also be quite suitable... :good:

I would not put any fish in there. You can try a shrimp but depending on the betta that might not do well either.

i put a ghost shrimp in with shadow (see sig pic) and it was fine. but, for 15 cents, all but one of my ghost shrimp died...and i got nine. i honestly don't think he killed it as they'd follow each other around the tank like a puppy following its owner around.

i wouldn't try it with pacific (avatar pic) though. he's much more...macho than shadow is. i'm sure it all depends on the fish.

I might try a couple of shrimps in each one,Or maybe some funky lookin snails :good: .I think i will avoid fish because wcmm and danios need alot of room to swim around in becaus they are active fish.thanks guys!
