Hi i'm new to this forum,
its my first post

Heres what my tank looks like, I have a 10 gallon with 10 Cardinal tetras
I'm wondering if Cherry Shrimp can be a tank mate for Cardinal Tetras, since they can clean up the food on bottom of the tank which the tetras cannot find. Also, I heard that Cherry Shrimp are easy to breed, is it possible to breed them alongside with the tetras?

Any insight on this is welcome :)

Don't buy more than 4 - 5 shrimp, as they will easily breed in your tank, providedthat you have enough hiding places!

how do you breed cherry shrimp?
are there any specific procedure i need to take to let them breed?

tons of java moss would help both sides if you want to breed the cardinals and shrimp :good:

also, what kind of filtration do you have?

yer i agree with the java moss, and try the shrimp with tetra prima, may sound weird, but its like red bull for my shrimps, they love it.

well i have a undergravel filter with a power head running
tons of gravel and hiding places. and a piece of bog wood

hmm i'll look for some java moss as i rarely see them at my lfs

oh yeah i already bought 5 cherry red shrimp.. they were quite pricey at my area

Undergravel filter, eh? I have heard reports of people with crayfish, shrimp, and other small bottom dwellers that have gotten sucked into an under gravel filter. I have never personally experienced this, but I thought I would just throw it out there in case.

i have lots of gravel to cover up the holes underneath, i don't think it should be a problem
