Tank Lid

My FIL has a 10 gallon tank (without a lid) in his garage. I was thinking of using it. Alfie on one side in his own 5 gal, and 2 ADF's in the other 5 gal

My husband's gonna loooove me when he finds out


Anyway, where can I find a tank lid? I tried looking on aquabid, ebay, and my local craigslist...but couldn't find one

The only thing I could suggest would be the lfs, but lids are the expensive part, blah. Good luck though.

The price doesn't really matter lol

I don't even think I have a lfs around me...at least not one that only sells fish/aquarium supplies


Does anyone know if Petco/Petsmart sell the lids by themselves? I've never checked that lol

Petsmart does, I think they do at least. They sell stuff at the store that's not on the website, believ it or not. Pet Solutions, they sell them online and in the catalogue. Petco, I'm not too sure about them but I think that they do.

Yeah, both Petsmart and Petco sell lids by themselves.

I use condensation trays if I dont have a lid...cut to size

Yes, Petsmart and Petco sell lids alone. You have your choice of hoods (with lights) or glass lids, or mesh wire lids for critter keepers. Any of those will work to your preference.
Glass lids are expensive, and don't give much oxygen flow... The Hood is even more expensive (18 bucks ish), but the wire mesh is a nice price, if I remember.

Try plexTry using plexiglass from hardware stores, its what i see many people use, and probably will rig up my own lighitng system and use a plexiglass lid when i take hte 10 gal(holding 2 angels and hte guppies atm)
