hi i am tbuying a breeding tank on friday to put my baby cacatuoides in, nut as i have no room in the house would it be ok to put them in my garage?

This is the usual place for tanks for alot of people mate. Just make sure you have a decent heater and you will be fine. :good:

Glad you have found a tank :D

if there's no heating in the garage the you may struggle to keep the temperature up during the winter months. Several heaters may be required and it may cost a considerable amount to keep the temp. where it needs to be.

Your heater will probably work twice as hard because garages tend to be colder

Hence the decent heater advice. I would aim for one that is roughly twice or three times as powerful as you need it to be.

thanks guys, so what wattage heater would you reccomend for a 60 litre tank?

150W should be fine, but if you happen to be able to lay your hands on two 100W then this would be better.

you could also insulate it with polystyrene on the bottom both sides and the back then through winter you can put a blanket over the top
