Tank Full?

What have you got in mind? Five fish isn't unreasonable for a 24 gallon tank, depending on what you plan to add.

hmm, i would call it full, but i call everything full, i got by the less we add the less chance of failure motto. Does your YW goby have a shrimp partner?

oh wait, you were the person who was worried about depth of sand right? How deep is your sand again?

1/2 to 1 1/4 inches

when i say full i mean do you think there is rather big bio-load for the tank

yes i would say it is full bio-load wise, luckily, shrimp dont add much load. If you could get a bit more sand if possible im sure you could get a pistol and hope that they pair up.

You have a peppermint and a cleaner shrimp already am i correct?

Your bioload is not full. The idea that it can be is, for the most part, a myth. The bacteria will keep multiplying and keep the tank balanced.

You will get more nitrates and phosphates than normal, which will fuel algae and cyanobacteria. Territorial limits are far easier to overstep.

so by most part doing a water change more often i can keep the bacteria and what not at balance.

Yes, but remember, one will much sooner make the fish unhappy by overcrowding them than one will by poisoning them with their own wastes (in a crowded tank). On this basis, your limit, in my opinion (backed by factual evidence and tested by experience) is six small fish.

Yes but you could still get a small fish or 2 like a member of the goby family. But if you are going to get 2, then leave a few weeks in between purchasing so it gives your nitrifying bacteria time to catch up with the new bio-load without raising it too much too quick! ;)
