I have a rio180 with nearly the exact same set up minus the 3d background.
I have a spray bar runing the length of the back of the tank flowing toward the front as in your picture. Then I have a power head in the top right, just under the spray bar, blowing right to left along the back of the tank.
This means I have no dead spots at all.
Here is a video showing the set up, its actualy a video of my co2 system but shows the circulation quite well.
