Tank Background

Well, I bought a background today and it stuck well with some tape....

What do you paint your tanks with. Is there a special aquarium paint or is it just glass paint.

I have currently got mine taped to the back but it is dull and has airbubbles. I may paint it or fishrunners suggestion. I can just about move my tank forward to enable me to do this

I use a couple of coats of regular blackboard paint. One coat usually shows up brush marks, rarely visible but, why risk the whole job for a coat of paint?

Well, it took me a few days to get around to changing the background. I followed the directions that fishrunner gave exactly using the soapy water. It was easy and worked great! I had tried using packing tape and double sided tape but was never happy with the way it looked. Now the background is completely stuck to the back of the tank making it look much more realistic. It is a rock background and the rocks look like they are in the tank instead of stuck to the back.
