An old clarity plus acrylic 55 gallon…. Moved my Java moss mats to those filter plates, and fired up my 15 year old double cartridge hang on tank filters that were cut special to fit the filter cut outs on the acrylic top… I was really surprised those both started… I have a half case of new in box cartridges for those filters, but towards the end of my run 15 years ago, I was making my own… the new in box heater for that tank, went into my barb tank, when that one failed, but I had a 250 watt “test tube style” heater that came on, when I installed it and plugged it in, I’ll have to keep an eye n the temp, before adding fish… this tank is under a couple others, and only visible from the work area behind the tanks( was formerly used for feeder fish ) nothing planned for it right now, other than overflow… likely the 1st fish will be my common pleco that’s nearing 8” right now, that’s in my barb tank, and may split out anyone that can’t get along in the other tanks ( right now, everyone is doing fine ) so it may just be an ugly pleco tank for a while…

I was worried about that tank, I’m not a big fan of plastic… but with the top welded on, this seems to be pretty ridged, and no leaks this far😀

It’s a nice, rounded front corner ( no seams there ) acrylic 55… a few scratches, but not too bad… was my reef tank when I had salt water, then a feeder tank… could be a nice looking tank… but my next “display” tank will be another 45 gallon ( next to fill ) was thinking about cichlids for the 45, may have to be African, depending if I can get my water figured out
