I have 5 Cyprichromis leptosoma, 3 Altolamprologus calvus, 3 Julidochromis transcriptus, 3 Glossolepis incisus (red rainbowfish) that will need a new home in late March. I am moving my home and have decided to take a break from fishkeeping. All these fish are mature adults 4-5 years old and have spawned multiple times in a community tank. I additionally have a large amount of live plant matter including Java ferns, amazon swords, and several others I can't identify that are similarly free to the first taker. The hitch is I don't want to mess with shipping, so you have to pick them up at my home west of Boston (Natick). Reply to this forum and I'll get back to you.

aww, if you shipped em, I'd have taken some latter this month.

i'll pay for shipping if u can send them up to me :)

I am about three hours from Boston, but I have friends who live there, so I could possibly make a trip of it. When do you need to get rid of them by? Also, would you provide the bags to transport them? (Does anyone know where to get those bags they use at the LFS?) Plus, would a 3 hour car ride be too stressful? I'm definitely somewhat interested if we can make it work.

You can get the bags they use at the LFS from the LFS usually. When I worked at incredible pets we sold them for like 10 cents each 25 cents for the larger ones.

I just asked at my LFS for some bags and he let me have some ( probably because I am in there most days lol) Your LFS might let you have some or just ask to buy some
