Taking A Gamble

im going to take a gamble and put a kenji in with my firemouth and oscar and see what happens i want then kenji and the firemouth in the sametank
the firemouth is only 3 inchs at most and the oscar 5 gonna give it shot wish me luck any advise postive would help

because they are both beautiful colorfull fish and i want colorfull fish that are aggressive and i love blue and 55gallon i will be upgrading to 120 after the oscar gets alot bigger hes only 6 inchs

This is only my personal preference - not as a flame or attack on you, but I would only buy fish who would need a bigger tank IF I had the bigger tank already set up. What if something comes up and you're unable to upgrade to the 120 gallon?

I don't know a lot about oscars (how quickly they grow or how big - I've read they do need plenty of space), but I do recall recently while in a LFS, a guy returned a large fish because he underestimated how QUICKLY it would grow and he didn't have a tank set up yet.
