thanks for your reply most people flush them down the loo i am in contact with local vets and animal welfare and they do not know if they can be moved or not can you tell me where your information came from or is it one of these rumours people pick up on and pass it on by word of mouth my intention is to pass the tadpoles on to people who would offer them good homes in there wildlife ponds that way they will breed with native frogs and strengthen the strain instead of interbreeding but thanks again anyway do not wish to fall foul of the law cheers terryTadpoles and frogspawn are protected by law they should never be removed or moved even temporarily or to a more suitable environment without permission from the environmental protection agency.
thanks all the best terryHi, welcome to the forum

thanks agian i havealso contacted defra they seem to think that applies to removal of tadpoles from streams and rivers not private pond but i am waiting for confirmation cheers again terryhttp/www.jncc.gov.uk/page-1379 protected by an amendment of the Wildlif and countryside act however it would see it was amended again in 2009 so they be off the register. I don't doubt you on it being for kind means not for the sake of cruelty but I believe you need a licence to do such a thing.
