Tadpoles Can We Or Cant We?

i have today contacted the r.s.p.c.a / defra and seascape according to them it is not illeagal to move tadpoles from private ponds in fact seascape said it is better for them. it becomes a problem if you try and remove them from public ponds / streams / and rivers as these can have some restrictions depending where you are located and can carry a risk of contamination. i hope this is a help to you and thanks to all the people that got back to me cheers terry
 
The only real "no no's" on the mainland would be great crested newts or natterjack toads, these both are protected at all levels of development!!!
Every year here we raise tadpoles in 3 old aquariums out in the garden from spawn removed from the koi pool....brilliant to have these frogs round the garden as natural pest control against slugs,etc....
 
its fine, just remember to take the frogs back to the pool or the area the spawn came from.
