it may be a stupid question.

i just brought this "tetra" brand tablet food, it says its for bottom feeders, however, my other fishes( angles, tetras) zealously, endlessly eat the tablet also. isnt that a problem since the tablet are big compare to flakes. woudn't the fishes stuff to death?

So, HOW DO THESE SO CALLED TABLETS WORK?

cheers

They gradually dissolve in the water, so the fish can peck at them slowly. As I said in the other thread, try feeding at night.
I very much doubt your fish will stuff to death- they don't when there is a sudden influx of food in the wild- otherwise, all fish would die at the onset of the rainy season. (The frequent warnings against overfeeding are as much to do with the risk of fouling the water). If you suspect the other fish are getting constipated, try feeding them mashed pea.

thanks 4 the advise. but mashed peas? do u just boil the pea n mash it n throw it in?n i've heard about cucumbers? what do u need to do with the cucumber? do u slice it as if in a subway sandwich?

I wouldn't worry about other fish eating the wafers or tablets, we feed them to our cories and all of our fish peck at them a little.

For mashed peas you boil them, take the shell off and then kinda squish it as you add it to the tank (I know it sounds weird lol).

For cucumbers people usually slice them so you get thinner round pieces and add a plant weight or something to keep the cucumber on the bottom.
