Crap my fish tank is 26" highi would say 20" but obviously you loose it as you go further downHow far can t5 lighting penetrate the water? im changeing over to t5lighting soon 8x 39w but im worried it wont penetrate the water and have enuff light at the bottom on my tank??? any one know~?
8x39watt, wow that's a lot. You'd be surprised gary, if that's a 3' long tank (which I assume it is cause 39watt T5's are 3' long), and you have 8 individually reflected T5's, you'll actually run the risk of burning your corals. That's a LOT of light.
If they don't have individual reflectors you'd have less of an over-lighting problem, but 8 tubes is a bunch. Don't worry about penetration, you'll get plenty
I have two one is for sale selling cheap!!! also with 8x 39w t5s i will link you via pmWhat is a fish tank computer, can you link me? I would be interested in having dimmed lights and things.
