Ok after picking out like 5 incompatable catfish i may have just found one. I was looking at getting a s. eupterus and then adding in gradually until i have a trio.

The only possible confrontation is possibly with the Raphael, otherwise they are usually peaceful fish, but territorial to their own species, and sometimes to other bottom dwellers.

P.T.

I would be concerned that any of the larger synos (such as Eupterus and Ocellifer) would snack on the tetras. Synos are peaceful but they do eat!

Oh dang im stupid. The fish in my sig is my 15 gallon. I am getting a new 55 gallon. Just cichlids. Some yellow labs Maybe an angelfish if it's small enough to not eat the labs. The ones at my lfs are like half an inch. I would like to get Eupterus as i may be adding a BGK in the future. would it be better to get like 3 different kinds of synos or do most of them need to be in groups. I no upside downs do but i wasnt sure about the rest.

Which would be better? The eupterous or Ocellifer?

Either of those would work with the the cichlids, though the slightly smaller size of the Ocellifer may be more suitable to the tank.

Mixing the Labs and Angels, though, is something I wouldn't do.
