Hiya folks :) ,

Can anyone suggested some types of synodontis (sp?) or other catfish/plec etc. that would do well in my 55 gallon Mbuna tank?

I currently have 3 clown loaches in there but don't feel I will be able to tend for them properly because of the Mbuna's pure veggie needs (I know clowns need a for more protein filled diet) and so will be moving them shortly.

Am looking to keep about 3 synos, that hopefully don't grow to more than about 6 inches long each.

Any suggestions or comments appreciated.

cheers

Hi again Steve,

Looks like I'm following you around the forums

May have answered this before at sdome point in the African section but here gioes anyway.

I've got 2 Synodontis Eupterus in my tank (also known as Featherfin catfish), great fish. I'd also reccommend Multipunctatus and Petricola for an Mbuna tank. Oasis have a pretty good stock normally but they seem to get them in one at a time (batch of Multipunctatus one week and Eupterus the next).

I think you should try to source a number of syno. petricola. They stay small enough so you can have 4 or 5 in a 55G tank and they are really playful and very active :)

I have 4 in my 50G tank and i really love watching them!

Ben
