Any tips i could give you are on google, soo next time, you know! Swordtail's are sexed my the male's charcateristic sword. The feamles dont have one. Most feamles you buy are already pregnant. You can tell, if they have a gravid spot. Her gestation period is around 28-31 days. To keep the fyr, you can use a breeder trap, which i dont really recommend, or put her in a spare tank with lots of plants( uch easier on her). How many gallon's/liters is the tank? You could safely fit 5 in a 10 gallon tank. As males and feamles can reach over 2 inches. The rule of thumb is 1 male to every 2 feamles. But male swordtails are aggressive, so they will likely kill eachother. You NEED to cycle the tank before putting any vauleable fish in it. You would also do well to get a API Freshwater Master Liquid Test Kit.
