Swollen Belly On A Tiger Barb

Hi All

I had a sudden Tiger Barb death yesterday, in the morning the fish was ok, in the afternoon it was at the top of the tank and had a large swollen belly. In the evening it had died, there was not anything apart from swollen belly.

Any Ideas on what may have happended?

If the belly was really swollen sadly it had a bacteria infection, sorry R.I.P.

Is there any medication that could have be given?

Once they get a bacterial problem and they are really bloated up no nothing would of helped really, so don't beat your self up, good varied diet with frozen foods and veg in it.
