Swimming Behaviour?

i bought barry the betta today (looks lovely) from lfs for £5 he saved him for me iv put him in the 20 gal community tank he seems placid atm not interested in the guppies does follow the orange platty round a little il keep my eye on that.

1 thing that concerns me a bit is the fact that he sometimes swims at odd angles a bit like hes gonna fall over is this normal beta behaviour or something to be worried about?

Betta don't like strong currents so I would check if the flow not to much for him.

its a record 96 with stock filter if anything it seems weak to me sometimes i have to check its actually on

Ok, try some shelled peas on the fish, does the fish look bloated.

il try the pea trick tomorow he doesnt seem bloated to me but hes my first betta so cant be 100%

Only get flakes usually at lfs so he could just be abit constipated, watch for one he goes to the toilet bless him.

iv only got flakes i thought they were fine on them? what food should i buy him?

Frozen foods like bloodworms but not to many, brimestrimp, daphnia very good at digesting a fish food, microworms the list is endless, krill.
And plenty of green veg in there diet.
