I had gotten a Betta for my boss at work, I believe I had posted about him when I purchased him from my LFS. He's been doing ALOT better, eating, and his color has come back. BUT, he still swims strange, he's always causing currents in the water because it seems like he can't control his movement well. He also seems to float sometimes, and it looks like he doesn't want to be floating, but can't help it.
Does anyone have a clue what this is, and what I should do to treat it?
I've been doing everyday water changes on him since he's come home, but he needs to get better soon so I can give him to my boss at work, I just don't have room for him here... LOL
Thanks in advance. :)

Give him a pea. If he's constipated, it could be causing problems with his swim bladder.

Culling is the best solution. LOL    J/K. hahahaha
Well, Don't fed him too much. :) Don't make him fat like a female belly. Just fed light and make him as happy as possible in his life. :p

Definitely sounds like swim bladder disorder.

Lower the water for him. If you have tall silk plants, lower the water so they float along the top and he can try to nestle in there to get leverage.

Hold off on feeding him until he shows improvement. Swim bladder is usually caused by constipation or overfeeding. If it's due to overfeeding he should get better within a few hours. If it's constipation you might have to try feeding him a little pea.

Although swim bladder disorders can be caused by constipation, they can also be caused by internal bacteria which is more much serious- i would go and buy some internal bacterial med(there is one by Interpet for example) and treat him with it and also cut down on the amount of high protein foods you are feeding him and try and persuade him to eat some vegetable based foods like cooked de-shelled chopped up peas or algae wafer.
If he does have internal bacteria and you don't treat it sooner enough its pretty much imposible to treat, so its best to treat him now and be on the safe side- i would suggest feeding him vegetable based foods rather than starving him becuase if he does have internal bacteria this will only make him weaker.

yes, something is wrong with the swim bladder, i have problems similar in the past, all u do is feed it a pea and see if it works.
