Firstly, can I please emphasize that the modding team cannot tolerate slanderous negative feedback about specific shops on this forum...

I've had this shop in my interweb favourites list for a while and some attractively priced unique fish have recently come back into stock, that I am very tempted to order with courier delivery.

Have any forum members had recent experience of posted fish from this shop?

If good, by all means write a little about it, but if you vote "so-so" or "bad" please do not go into detail in this thread.

Hi mate. ive never had fish posted from this shop but i have visited them a few times and the stock are usually very nice and healthy with spotless tanks. its a family run business built on a farm but has some great fish in.

i would assume that you take the risk with any fish being posted but im sure they would package the fish up well for you as they really do seem to care about the fish and customers.

what is it you have your eye on? :hey:

Thanks for the report, mattlee. :)

I'm eyeing up a big schoal of 18 Brycinus longipinnis, that will be added to my 5x2x2 after QT and perhaps a bit of growing, I'm now hellbent on making that tank a full on Zaire River biotope. ;)

sounds interesting mate be sure to keep us informed with its progress :good:

if sweet knowle has the fish you want then go for it, ive never had a bad fish from there tbh. its about an hour or so drive for me in a direction where there are no other decent lfs so i dont go that often but when ive have visited then ive been impressed and always come home with something!

I had a delivery from Sweet Knowles 2 days ago, as it happens.

Their service was very good, ordered the day before about 11:30 over the phone and fish (nice and healthy, well packed) were with me next day, in the sex ratios I'd asked for. The courier ended up being quite late because of all the bad weather, but the staff at the shop were very good about finding out what was going on and getting back to me with updates.

The only thing I would say to qualify is that as good as their service was, the delivery I had from Wildwoods last month was even more impressive - all the fish were triple bagged individually or in pairs and incredibly well packaged. Quite a lot more expensive for most fish than Sweet Knowle though.

Hope that helps.

Tom
