4 ft tank, 8 tiger barbs, 2 silver sharks, some loaches etc.

Tank been fine for a couple of months. Added 4 sunset plattys 3 weeks ago.

Now: 1 tiger barb less tail fin, one platty, 3/4 eaten.

Has anyone had trouble with sunset plattys and tiger barbs before? tank was fine, no attacks at all unill plattys introduced, and i don't want to lose more fish. I am on the verge of taking plattys back for a credit at local shop. I think my tiger barbs prob killed the platty and also attacked my injured tiger barbs, i don't want to lose these and think that platty removal may be best.

Any help/experience with mixing these would be good.

Thanks
james.

Tigers can be very vicious and are not usually recommend for many community tanks because of their aggressiveness and tendency to fin nip. In the short term removing the platy should stop the problems ut if you add more fish in the future the barbs will start attacking them too. Barbs especially attack fish with big fins such as guppies or even bettas.
