Suitable home for a Betta?

i think people should realize that bettas are not "decoration". they are living breathing creatures that deserve your respect. thats the big problem i have with the "peace lily"/"war betta" setup. peace lilys are not aquatic plants either so while they might live for a while with roots submerged their long term survival is suspect. the bettas will not eat the roots unless they are starving, and the roots will not "clean up" the water for you either.

i buy the ugliest bettas.. if anyone cares lol
