I had two angelfish in a twenty gallon and this morning I woke up to find one of them with his nose stuck all the way up the filter. I have no idea what happened. The two angels seemed to be getting along fine, there no was no aggressive behavior at all but I did notice that the remaining angel's lower fin looks like it might have a couple nips out of it. All my levels are at zero. My temps about 80 right now. I'm trying to raise it gradually because the remaining fish also has a body full of ich this morning and I want to encourage the ich to fall off so it can be treated and killed. My real question however is about the behavior of the remaining fish. Last night both of them were swimming at the very top of the tank, almost like gliding along it with their noses up and this morning the remaining fish is still doing it. He doesn't seem to want to come down and swim in the other parts of the aquarium. He is not gasping for air or showing any other signs of distress. Other than the ich he doesn't seem sick at all. Is this a normal behavior or a symptom of the ick or what? Also I went ahead and fed him and he ate up all the food really quick. So I'm not sure what's up. I tried to search last night to find anything on the swimming behavior of angels but nothing came up about top tank swimming. Please help. I want to save this little guy before it's too late. Thanks!
