Hi, I was hoping someone could suggest how I can move this stuff around. I did like it but I feel like it looks cluttered. I was going for sand being higher on one side with more stuff, sloping lower with and more open. I still need to get the light so I have some makeshift ones right now. It desperately needs a background also.

Any suggestions please? Their greatly appreciated.

To me, it needs plants to fill it in. If it were my tank, I'd have the pot towards the middle and the rocks on the two far sides, then plants thickest on both far sides and thinner towards the middle framing the pot as a feature.

Thanks for the reply! I really like that idea. I'll post another picture once I figure out what I'm going to do. I just got most of the taller plants so hopefully everything starts growing good and filling in.

Anyone else have any other ideas to consider?

Loooks nice, defo agree more plants needed. :good:

Also, I would either put the bubble curtain under the rocks and move this to the right then move the planted pot to the center. That could be cool.

Or, put the bubbles inside the other pot I see on the left hand side. (If there is a hole in the back of it?)

I like it when the bubbles are interrupted by something or part of the feature, if that makes sense.

Thanks :) I definitely agree on the bubbles, I think I'm going to try something like that. I wasn't sure if I liked it in there.

So I moved some stuff around, added some wood.

Please excuse the cucumber seeds.

I need to invest in a camera.

Looking good :good:

Maybe add some java moss to the wood? You got a beautiful piece there.

I need a new camera too, counting down to Christmas :p

:D Thanks, I'm in love with that piece of wood.

I've been searching for java moss around here and I can't seem to find any, I need to look into ordering some.

Have a look at the classified section here, maybe someone is selling some. I haven't got enough yet, otherwise I'd have offered. Ebay is another option if you don't have any shops near you that have some.

Tanks looking awesome! A nice black background would finish it off nicely :good:

I really like the plant coming from the pot, bit different. Nice one!

Thank you :) I thought about painting it, after I already had it filled and up against the wall. I'm not sure what color to do though when I get the chance.

Black! You will love it :good: Fish look great against black and it's just a clean background that doesn't take away from the beauty of your tank.

+1

I made the mistake of getting a grey rocky looking backdrop on my tank, now I can't wait to pay day to get a nice plain black backdrop. Fish and plants will look so much better.

Edit... Spelling

It doesn't even need to be a backdrop, I just gloss it in back. With gloss you'll never see watermarks stuck at the back of the glass.
