I'm planning to get a 400 litre tank in about March next year (can't wait) so I'm trying to do some early research....and am looking for suggestions for other fish to put in the 400 L with the fish in my sig who are going to be moved into it too. Obviously need ones compatible with my signature fish, also my ph is 7.8, gh and kh about 13-14. Don't want to upset current staus quo with regard to water parameters so will get fish that are compatible rather than make water compatible to the fish ( my tiger barbs are hard water bred).

I like the idea of getting 4 upside down catfish, any thoughts/suggestions??
Thanks

I would at least double the current population of tiger barbs and add a surface dwelling species to take up that area of the tank, appolo sharks (Luciosoma spilopleura) would make a good addition if you can find them.

If I added 5 green tiger barbs and 4 upside down catfish would that be it or could I add more? I'm aware that at present I can get away with all of those fish in my current tank because they are all still young but I want to allow for their full size....

Is 4 upside down cats enough of a shoal to get them coming out a bit as I know they can be shy?

I've never heard of appolo sharks, what do they look like and where do they come from?

Thanks

sleek silver looking sharks, grows to about 8"
The Apollo Shark is a very active schooling fish that is suitable for the mature community aquarium. This sleek shark is more passive than either Black Sharks or Red Tail Sharks. The Apollo Shark requires an established planted aquarium with plenty of free-swimming space available. A hood on the aquarium is also recommended, as it is an accomplished jumper

how big is 400L in gallons? anyway corys make very good bottom feeders. i have about 6 of them and 3 different species.

105 Us gallons or 89 imp gallons

Not seen Apollo sharks anywhere around here. What about a type of danio for the top level of the tank?

Would Kuhli loaches be ok with those fish? Would I be over doing the catfish with upside down cats, kuhli loaches, raphael cats and a bristlenose?
