i have a 35 gallon hex tank. i plan on putting in some angelfish, bristlenose pleco, redtail shark, and maybe some tetras of some sort. not sure yet however. is there any type of invertebrate that you could reccommend for my tank to add some uniqueness to it. also what invertebrates would do a good job in cleaning my tank and go with my planned fish? (i know i still need a good filtration system, i have an aquaclear filter) Thanks for the time and consideration! :good:

How many of each were you planing? Each of them grow to 6" but the Angelfish has a tall body so it counts as much more. You should have at least 3G per inch for fish that grow to 6" so that's at least 18G per fish. A 35G would barely be big enough for one of each... in fact, you should only have one RT Shark anyhow since they are very aggressive to conspecifics (their own kind). Angelfish get really big and need a 35G minimum as adults and can be agressive so they should be kept singly or in groups of four or more and the 35G isn't big enough for a group of four adults.

I'm not positive but an Apple Snail might survive in the tank. They do OK with plecos but I'm not sure with the RT Shark or Angelfish.

thanks for the response, i have kept angels in the past in this type of tank and they seemed to do fine. as far as the red tails go im aware of only 1 per tank. thanks for the information though!

Yeah, snails would probably be your best bet. Most shrimp wouldn't last long, and with all those fish, I don't think you have space for a cray...
