We do something very similar on another forum I am a member of. It's not a huge amount of work, tbh., because it's a bit of silly fun, and not to be taken seriously.

Most imaginative poster
Poster with best journal
Most helpful poster
Most corrective of grammar/ spelling poster

Will we get these ' average posts daily ' or has this idea moved on?
I think it would be a useful device.
Also, on the top 20 posters what is the time frame? i.e when does the day switch over?

Yeah I agree with the above about the top 20 posters as I see I still have all my posts from yesterday plus the ones I've made today.
I bet you want the most corrective of grammar/ spelling poster category because you think you'd have it.
 
Another category should be the most active poster.

I must confess, I don't really get this current obsession with post counts. I'd rather have low but quality posts than thousands of banter posts. But then I'm just boring
