I have a 24 gallon planted aquapod. I am injecting CO2 but my drop checker has not arrived yet. What should my bubble count be per minute to get around 30ppm of CO2. I understand I wont know exactly until I am able to use the drop checker but I need somewhere to start.

Start with 1 bubble every 2 secs or so. You can get a rough idea of CO2 by testing for pH and KH.

Keep an eye on fish and ensure there's plenty of surface movement.

I am using a nutrafin kit. With their mixture I was getting about 6 bubbles per minute. I made my own mixture and am now getting about 20 bubbles per minute. For some reason I am getting very little absorption now. With the nutrafin mixture the change in bubble size as they went up the ladder was very noticeable. Now with the faster bubble rate I can see almost no change in the bubble size.
