Sudden Pleco Death

So sorry to hear you lost your pleco. That is very unusual. What sand did you switch to? Did you add anything else new?

and btw those are definitely cory eggs.

I switched to play sand, wich a lot of people on here recommend over aquarium sand. The fact that they are cory eggs is kinda cool, since 3 of mine just switched out of the qt tank into the main tank yesterday.

I have also "baby proofed" my filter intakes. I can see places now where there were eggs, but no longer are. I suspect the guppies have been eating them.

But has anybody else had or seen this problem with plecs and substrate changes? This was the first time my pleco has been on sand, I got him when he was about 3/4 of an inch long and he was almost 4 inches when he died.
