I'm going to pick up a rose bush for mother's day later and was considering stopping by my lps for a treat for hank. I know they have these little resting leaves (fake with suction cup) as well as these floating logs and I was wondering which he might prefer? He's a mild mannered betta who is always exploring and swimming about curiously

Maybe both actually.
He a curious little boi so get your curious boi a floating log and when your little curious boi is no longer curious and want to rest get your little tired boi a rest spot.

Aww that's so cute. I suppose whichever gets the most votes can come first and then I'll see if I can get the next one whenever he gets bored

Your boi never get tired, he gets to be a no longer curious little boi :)

It doesn't matter. Bettas don't really require any of those floating caves/leaves.
He may not require it but I'm just wondering if it could bring some interest to his tank until quarantine is up and I can spruce it up. It's currently pretty barren :(

I use pothos ivy in my elderly betta's tank.
Often it produces roots, too. Those last longer. This happens when I put a piece that has bit of stem and more leaves.
Other times I just break off one large leaf. This wilts sooner so I have to keep watch and remove. It's easy.
