Such A Shame To See.....

these blue, red finned botia are stunning fish but on closer inspection it seems that the colouration is way too blue and patchy meaning only 1 thing. unfortunately these fish for sale have been artificially dyed/injected. such a shame to see this happening

I dont understand why anyone would want to buy fish that have been injected or dyed when they can have natural looking fish!

Any possibility that they get splotchy coloring when unhappy in the LSF tank?? That is sad if they are injected!

it was at an lfs of mine but not one i go to unless im visiting the garden center its in. its not a well known shop and they actually had some decent stuff in which i was suprised at but these and the parrot fish they had were clearly not natural

i guess that could happen but if you have ever seen a natural blue botia they are actually more like a bluey/grey, these were navy blue and patchy. i have never seen a blue botia even when stressed have this colouration before

I dont think id go there again. Luckly my the lfs I go to have never had any dyed or injected in.

as said i was only there to visit the garden center on saturday and to take the kids to see the guinee pigs and rabbits etc. its not a place i would buy from anyway

we went zoo about 2 weeks ago.... anyway it was raining and horrible and the garden center was near the park we were at
