Substrate Query

I'm using the argos play sand and it looks fine - washed it several dozen times and then mixed in tetra plant substrate (didn't have time to do the soil boiling so cheated).

I'll see how it does in a couple of days.

I think with tetra Plant Substrate you just bung it in and then cap it with an inch of sand (no mixing)?

What does it say on the bag?

Exactly - damn expensive stuff this substrate lark which is why I am experimenting c soil. If you've already mixed, see how it goes. (It's major expense is down to weight and therefore shipping costs, or so I've been told).

BTW, Where abouts in Wales are you from? Home of my fathers, home of my heart....

I'm actually from Birmingham by birth, lived in Wales though on and off for 17 years - Rhayader, Pontypridd and now Caerphilly.

Carfeful now, you're getting closer & closer to England with every move. Next it will be Newport and then (lo & behold), Bristol - where I was born incidentally. I moved from there to Fishguard & from there to the New Forest. God I miss being there.
