Submersible Lighting?

The other thing is they can be quite bright, I guess you can cut them down till you get the right effect or fit a dimmer switch.

Or buy a multi-voltage adapter and wire your lights to that, so if it's too bright at 12v, just click the selector down to 9v, or 7.5, 6v :D simples .

Is the heatshrink absolutely necessary in that case or can I just wrap some insulation tape around it?

If it's DEFINATELY always going to be out of the water, then yes, insulation tape is fine :good:

Heatshrink is just neater :) but I'm sure you can wrap insulation neatly for a similar result at less cost.

Thanks, that's good to know.

I've got another question.

I've asked the seller of the power adaptor and the bit with the bare wires on, they don't sell separately. I was considering having multiple colours but only having one on at a time, so the ideal thing would be to unplug the cable and plug in the colour I want, if that makes sense? So I'd only need one power bit, but I'd need as many connectors as I have colours. http://cgi.ebay.co.u...#ht_2631wt_1270

Does anyone know if the connector part has a name that I could search for someone else selling it separately?

Sorry for all the questions guys, but it is appreciated. Normally I'm good at figuring things out for myself but I'm planning on putting water and electricity together so I want to make sure I'm doing this right.
