Does anyone know of a place online where I can get submersible LED lights? I'm interested in putting some in my aquarium under my driftwood to give it a "under glow" type of look.

Thanks.

What about DIY ? Transformer from poundshop...
An LED costs about 50p and are already waterproof ! All you would need to do is waterproof the 2 connections with a little glue or silicon.

The wiring is nothing an 8 year old couldnt handle, and its all low voltage so safe.

I carefully avoided mentioning that to anybody reading this post who, AFAIK, has little or no electronics knowledge - not a good idea suggesting someone uses MAINS transformer etc for 'whatever' and then takes something, probably duct-taped together, and sticks it in WATER.... Not having a dig, but in the wrong hands of the keen amature this will be bloody DANGEROUS.

The transformer doesnt go anywhere near water, and besides you no doubt have heater, lights and air pumps - all MAINS voltage either in or next to water

Transformer plugs in the wall, after that you have a very low voltage, no more than a torch battery - I dont understand the paranoia...

Don't get me wrong, I'm not having a dig at you or anyone in particular.
I am not talking about people with some nounce about these things like me and you.... I'm only thinking ahead to those that DON'T. Hence my warning.

Yes heaters etc. plug into the mains and then go into water etc etc but the way those SAFETY CRITICAL items are tested, desgned, tested, manufactured, and tested (again) is beyond merely suggesting getting <something> that plugs into the mains whose end purpose is to be submerged into WATER.

See my point? As an electrical & electronics engineer, the stuff I design where safety is paramount and testing is part of my day to day job, I have to point out the dangers! Rather that than someone killing themselfs as the result of what would seem on the surface as 'a good idea'...

It's funny you mention those, because I actually looked at both of them before asking here. The first one I didn't like because it looks like it's mounted on the outside of the tank? And the second one I don't like because it's only red, green, or blue. No 'white'.

Yeah, I like white too. But the first one is submersible; it does look like it has a big/bulky base though. Best to see if your LFS has them so you can check it out in person.
