I realise what it is for, but how do you cut the cup ? how exactley does it work? And do you use this method for your male betta ?

I grab the cup put in the table grab pair of scissors and cut it half..

Also I use it when Im breeding..

even a big floating leaf will achieve the same desired end result of floating a 1/2 styrofoam cup in the water (think floating cave). the idea is to create a shelter for the male to build his bubble nest under. if his nest is covered, it's less likely to be disturbed or even seen by unwanted eyes.

okay so i cut it long ways and float it so it is like a "tunnel" right ?
