we dug a bigger pond just for them but we had to move them to a diffrent pond ... one of them died on transport and the other one died 2 days after we moved them it was probualy stress that killed them :(

so now im lest with a big pond and a few koi and goldfish lol

ill have to get some more sturgeon

sturgens are saltwater fish! you probably had something called -------- um cant remember the name but it war star something! and yeah they look clones of sturgens. where i come from, if a sturgen is caught, it has to be offered to the queen! BY LAW! :S

Sturgeon are not salt water as i have one in mine, hopeing to build a bigger pond in 4-5 years to house him in his old age, for all things Sturgeon try This Link

there is such thing as a lake sturgen but the true strurgen here in the uk is a saltwater fish and as mentioned above is soo rare that if caught it has to be offered to the queen of england! on that site HERE. it shows a STURLET. as i mentioned above well the star something was pretty close anyways. this is probably what you had. a sturlet.

How many gallons is the pond/what is its dimensions? Even with ponds, most sturgeon can easily outgrow them.

i seen some diamond backed ones on saturday they looked realy nice i did ponder for a few seconds on weather i should get one or not :/

Sturgeons and sterlets are great additions to any pond thats big enough and well filtered to cope with there high quality needs.

I currently have a 2ft albino sterlet and as from wednesday will have a 2ft stellate sturgeon. My pond is very well filtered and is touch under 2000 gallons.

I feed my current sturgeon on the pellets that, that sites shop sells. I wouldn't settle for anything less after reading there research.
