Stupid Rope Fish

Ok here is the deal.

I feed my rope fish worms and beefheart.

He only eats the worms though.

But this is the strange part he takes the worms into his rock pile one by one. I just thought he was taking them into his rock pile to eat them. SURPRISE!!!!!!! Later that week when I was cleaning the tank. I found a 15 to 20 worms piled up in his rock pile.

Why is he taking his worms in his pile and not eating them?

I didnt know fish could be hoarders..... maybe if you skip a feed they will get eaten? that would be a good experiment, if they didnt get eaten then yes, he's probably not the sharpest rope-fish in the tank
