Yep it will kill them, so will straight white vinegar (safer option)

Thanks! Well I already have the bleach and ive got dechlorinator. So I'm just gonna go with that. Didn't even think of vinegar! Do you add that to water like you do the bleach or just straight vinegar?

When i had them, before i knew of the No Planaria, i used it straight, splashed everything left it for 30min, then top the tank with water and  left it for a bit longer then drained it. The gravel i had in a bucket of vinegar and hot water (about 1/1)
 
Even when using vinegar i dechlorinate, which i would need to use anyway as i had to refill the tank once everything was rinsed

Does vinegar harm live plants? I don't think the no planaria hurts plants. Though for the future I was looking at any plants that comes in gets a bath for a few hours in an alum solution. Will this kill those things good? I don't want to introduce any more pests! That's for sure.

Unsure, i dont put it in tanks that are not being rinsed afterwards.

Plants however can go into No Planaria, i always dip any i get from a certain store here as i know they have them in their plant tank

How long do you dip them for though? I still want to be able to eventually have nerite snails in the betta tank(one not treated with no planaria...lol.) or would draining the tank and rinsing everything good let you be able to have nerites in the tank again if the tank was dosed?

I leave them in it for at least a day, i want to be sure the little sods are dead

I have snails in tanks i have dosed, i just do a large water change. And it isnt always fatal to snails either sadly.....i was told it was and dosed a tank overrun with pond snails, i still have pond snails lol

So...if my brain read this right...you give the plants a bath for a day in the no planaria solution...and rinse well....and it's ok to put nerites in a tank that has those plants? I actually plan on doing an alum bath for snails. I'm not sure yet if it will kill the other stuff though. I have to do a bit more research. I think that is three tablespoons to a gallon with the bath being for a few hours. That's the strong solution. Lol.

I was able to get rid of my pond snails when I switched over to sand substrate. But...i also did the decor and filter stuff and anything else I could in a good salt solution(cheap table salt! Lol). The tank itself I rinsed and washed out really well being sure to wipe down the entire inside of it. I also left a tiny bit of water in the tank just over the gravel and poured loads of salt there too before taking it out. Lots of work...but no more snails! I don't want them or Hydra or planaria ever again!! That's why I gotta figure out what to do with my plants when I get them. I have to get everything online as there aren't any stores around here that have them. Oh well. Lol

Unfortunately, one of my nerites has passed. I found him dead this morning. But the other two, when I checked them....had suction!!! They haven't been able to stick anything for almost two weeks!! So...i went ahead and put them in my 10 gallon tank with one male guppy and two other nerites that have been thriving. That way that can get some food if they can move about more! Yay! I'm happy about this and sooo glad I gave them a chance!
